Thomas J. Kita, Jr. strives to take a problem-solving approach in helping clients through negotiation, mediation, and risk management. His goal is to provide clients the assurance that their legal issues are being handled with zealous advocacy. When prompted, he educates his clients to the applicable law regarding their issues, including the possible viewpoints from the opposing side.
He received his undergraduate degree in English, with a discipline in Professional Writing, and a minor in Philosophy from Texas State University; there, he was inducted in the Phi Sigma Tau Philosophy Honor Society for his academic achievements. He was trained in Mediation at the University of Texas School of Law, and is recognized by Texas Mediator Credentialing Association as a top-level Distinguished Mediator. He attended Charlotte School of Law to earn his Juris Doctorate, as well as his Leadership Development Certificate.
Mr. Kita has studied construction science and building enclosure practices since 2008, he completed courses at the Building Envelope Science Institute and is a Certified Building Envelope Inspector. He also attended courses through the Air Barrier Association of America (“ABAA”) and is a ABAA Licensed Field Auditor. He is a member of the Texas Real Estate Commission as a Real Estate Sales Agent, and is a licensed Realtor. Lastly, Thomas J. Kita, Jr. is a licensed Attorney through the State Bar of Texas.
Using these multiple competencies, Mr. Kita focuses on Construction Law issues, to include Risk Mitigation for building owners, and to help guide clients in their best interest.
